After having taken her A-levels Monika Kohut went to London/England, where she worked as a Front Hall Receptionist for an international hotel chain. After 18 months, she returned to Germany in order to study English, Spanish and Economics at the University of Heidelberg. Subsequently, she registered at the Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich from which she obtained the ‘Bachelor of Arts’ degree.
During her studies Monika acted as an interpreter for English and French. She repeatedly travelled the UEA – United Arab Emirates. Moreover, she went to Kuwait, England, France, Switzerland, the Benelux and the United States of America. At that time she decided for a career in the industry.
After trainings-on-the-job in agencies and SMBs, where she held positions on management levels, she subsequently mainly worked for global players. At the end of 2009, she went to South Africa, where she stayed until the end of June 2010. She joined the Corporate Communications department of the CTICC – Cape Town International Convention Centre. Furthermore, she supported the management of Kap Express with their launch activities and the editorial department as a journalist.
Today, Monika Kohut looks back at more than 20 years of profound experience in Marketing, Branding, MarComs, Events, PR, External/ Internal Communications in Agencies, SMBs and international Corporate Groups of various industries and segments (B2C, B2B, B2G), mainly freelancing on executive level with direct reporting to the Board Members (CxO Team).
